San Antonio Shoemakers began with their two founders, Terry Armstrong and Lew Hayden. The pair worked at a local shoe company but eventually started their own factory in an unused aircraft hangar in 1976 in San Antonio. In 1985, the duo opened a factory in Del Rio, Texas which allowed for expansion throughout the South. Today, San Antonio Shoemakers is the trusted genuine leather company with women’s pumps, flats, sandals, boots, and a men’s collection!
